About the Role The Allocations Consultant role is responsible for managing the national file allocations of indemnified notifications and claims, ensuring that the right file is assigned to the right team/roles across the Medical Indemnity business, Avant Law, and our external panel partners. This role will work closely with Claims Managers, Team Leaders and Heads of Practice, MLA and Claims Intake team, Avant Law, and Medical Advisory Services as well as external panel firms to ensure appropriate allocation of work, in the best interest of our members. This role is fundamental to ensuring we leverage our Service Principles for our members, providing the operational effectiveness in getting the right file to the right team. Key Accountabilities Allocating files nationally to the right team member/s across Avant Medical Indemnity, and Avant Law, meeting service and quality assurance standards. In conjunction with Claims, Avant Law and Medical Advisory Leaders ensure allocation tools are regularly updated, incorporating data on capability, capacity, and complexity to support effective decision-making tools. Working with Claims Excellence to seeking continuous improvement to the Allocation processes, considering ways to make the allocations process more efficient and streamlined whilst meeting the national claims framework Key Capabilities or Experiences Required to Perform the Role Proven ability to work effectively with cross functional teams Demonstrated ability to execute against standard processes, within agreed service levels and quality measures. Exposure to Legal/ Claims Process and operations Experience in leveraging technology and tools to support operational efficiencies.
