About the role Reporting to the Head of People Services, this critical role will lead and oversee all aspects of payroll management to ensure accurate and timely processing of the pay. The Senior Manager will ensure compliance with current legislation, modern Awards, organisational policies and procedures, together with providing expert guidance on remuneration and benefits. This includes designing and implementing best practice and contemporary remuneration & benefits program for Red Cross that aligns with our organisation strategy in addition to improving processes, systems, and controls to ensure accuracy in pay, reduce risk and drive efficiency. About you As an experienced senior leader and detail-oriented professional, youll bring extensive knowledge of Australian Payroll legislation, Modern Awards, Fair Work Act, and National Employment Standards. You will have proven experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring payroll compliance, remuneration and benefits framework / strategy, driving continuous business improvement, and providing innovative solutions to complex challenges. With a contemporary approach to stakeholder engagement, you will demonstrate a strong ability in developing effective and valued relationships with executive leadership, senior leaders and the broader business. Skills and experience Sound judgement to effectively and efficiently solve complex issues and navigate through new situations, with a forward-thinking approach High level analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex payroll issues, established priorities, effectively manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines Substantial experience in managing and leading through change and delivering new strategic initiatives from implementation through to conclusion Experience in working collaboratively with HR and legal colleagues in interpreting relevant industrial instruments and legislation and the subsequent configuration of payroll systems High level skills in payroll systems, implementing upgrades and configurations Ability to lead and mentor a team of professionals to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of our payroll systems and processes Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
