About You : In final year of degree or a recent graduate of Bachelor of Speech Pathology Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia Current Drivers'' Licence National Police check (NPC) Working with Childrens Check (WWCC) Position Summary : As a Graduate Speech Pathologist you will be responsible to provide comprehensive assessments and tailoring/implementing custom programs for your clients to treat and manage speech, language, learning and communication disorders. This role works under supervision of experienced speech pathologists and will rely on your continual learning and expertise in delivering therapy to clients while enhancing clinical skills and delivering on clinical targets for the practice. In this role you will: Provide impactful speech pathology services to clients and their families to help them speak for themselves and meet their functional goals. Provide diagnostic assessment, review assessment and probes to determine clients strengths needs and track progress using data Communicate and work effectively with families, other Remarkable team members and other stakeholders to determine priorities, goals and plan evidence-based therapy Help the Remarkable Speech and Movement team by contributing to team initiatives, meetings and sharing your learning and resources. Contribute to the wider community and speech pathology profession through supporting our research, marketing/ awareness and learning initiatives. Key Requirements : Personal Punctual, reliable and committed Highly developed written and verbal communication skills Proven track record in time and task management, creating efficiency and meeting targets Clear, personable, assertive and professional communication, both written and spoken with clients, families, team members and wider networks Demonstrated understanding and respect for cultural and neurological diversity including seeing everyone as an individual Exceptional attention to detail Professional communication style to all internal and external stakeholders Great computer skills required for the company practice management software, Halaxy, and Microsoft 365 Ability to complete work within a team and autonomously Ability to follow direction and take initiative but also ask for help or support when needed Professional Demonstrated ability to hear and describe speech features such as vowels, prosody and resonance Demonstrable track record of completing and implementing professional development to provide effective services and a commitment to lifelong learning Experience in providing evidence-based speech, language and literacy support Desirable Prior experience in disability settings and working with the NDIS Previous experience working in a growing private practice Experience in providing evidence-based speech, language and literacy support Previous experience in providing people with childhood apraxia of speech and complex speech sound disorders evidence-based services Previous training in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme 3rd edition (NDP3) and/or the Rapid Syllable Transition treatment (ReST) Involvement in quality improvement or research projects. Previous experience working with: autistic people, people with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and/or genetic conditions, assessing and implementing AAC or oral facial myology Job Responsibility : Provide speech and language consultation and oversight of programs, to both therapist team and to clients while under supervision of senior speech pathologists Be open to learning and enhancing learning capabilities through administering varied case load Provide evidence-based, family-centred speech and language therapy to clients within the service delivery models we offer Provide direct evidence-based, family-centred speech and language therapy, train and support clients to run goals and interventions Administer speech and language assessments, develop and implement therapy plans for any speech and language referrals Conduct termly speech and language screeners within the local community Monitor, evaluate and review progress and therapy plans using data-driven methods and adherence to review protocols Undertake appropriate professional development, including self-reflection Work collaboratively with other care partners in your client''s care teams to provide holistic therapy programs Comply with all company policies and procedures including the SPA Code of Ethics.
