Youll be part of a dynamic Planning & Environment team known for handling some of Queenslands most interesting and challenging projects. From land use and approvals to litigation and remediation, this team has the expertise across the full project lifecycle. Youll also have the chance to collaborate with other practice groups and insurance experts, especially in areas where environmental liability and litigation overlap. Working closely with a senior leader in the field, youll advise a broad range of clients - from energy and resources companies to large-scale developers, manufacturers, and government entities on both front-end and contentious matters. What Youll Be Doing: Development applications, permits, and approvals Navigating environmental compliance and regulatory frameworks Managing planning and environmental disputes Responding to environmental incidents and enforcement matters Handling environmental liability and insurance coverage issues Risk management, decommissioning, and rehabilitation Dealing with objections to valuations, resumptions and claiming compensation. Youll be given the autonomy to run files, contribute to strategic decisions, and work closely with a mentor whos passionate about fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.
