Role Summary We are seeking a Principal Consultant specialising in railway operations to join our thriving national Transport Advisory team at our Brisbane office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic team, where you''ll contribute to the delivery of existing rail operations and strategic projects, as well as the development of new work. With ongoing involvement in major projects and support from AtkinsRalis'' global rail operations expertise, there''s never been a better time to become a part of our expanding Transport Advisory team. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provide advisory services across light rail, metro, passenger, and freight rail across the full project lifecycle from strategic planning to project delivery, including: development of operational concepts and maintenance plans rail operational and infrastructure planning rail corridor and network capacity analysis rail network simulation and network performance assessment service plan and timetable development fleet, maintenance and stabling plans operational readiness. Collaborate with project teams and represent AtkinsRalis to key clients and stakeholders, including transport agencies and railway operators. Oversee consultancy assignments from start to finish, including allocation, estimating, tendering, planning, execution, and close-out. Develop strategies to grow AtkinsRealiss product & service range offering in Customer Service and Rail Operations expertise, including business development and key client management Provide leadership and guidance to staff, offering expertise and direction as needed. Manage client relationships effectively Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities: Degree qualified in engineering, transport planning or other relevant disciplines. Experience and competence with railway operations simulation tools (notably RailSys or OpenTrack), test and commissioning, systems integration or modern signalling systems (including ETCS) would be highly advantageous Ability to manage time and workloads to deliver technical outputs across multiple projects, often to tight timescales Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-specialists, including writing, drawing and presentation skills ADDITIONAL INFORMATION We''re not all the same and that''s our greatest strength and we believe that ''Different Makes a Difference.''
