Y Queensland People and Culture Team are recruiting for a Project Officeron a Full-Time Fixed-Term (12 months) basis to join our team located in Fortitude Valley. About the role As a People and Culture Project Officer you will play a key role in delivering operational HR governance and improvement initiatives and projects. This position ensures that there are contemporary and legally compliant people management practices and that the People and Culture service meets the needs of Y Queensland. Working in close collaboration with the People and Culture team, the People and Culture Project Officer is responsible for delivering projects and initiatives and providing advice. What will my time look like? Lead and support the design, planning, and implementation of HR initiatives and projects (e.g., establishment management, update recruitment resources, annual contract review, update position descriptions, onboarding improvements and developing leader resources) Track milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes. Collate and organise statistical data for management Review and development of policies, procedures and work instructions Proactively identify and address improvement projects and initiatives Assist in the planning, execution and tracking of HR related projects across the organisation Proactively work with the Chief People Officer to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the People and Culture Team Am I a good match? 3 - 4 years experience as a HR Generalist with experience in medium to large organisation Degree qualifications in Human Resource Management or related disciplines Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current HR and IR legislative regulations Ability to interpret multiple awards Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Demonstrated ability to support a culture of continuous improvement, be innovative and develop creative solutions to resolve HR Challenges Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills The ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and ensure accuracy Customer service focus with solid work ethic The ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines Strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality Currently possess, or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 Whats in it for you?
