3 month short term temp role Brisbane metro area Role starts approx. 23rd July About the Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Advisor to oversee safety operations across warehouse projects. This role is integral to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment during high-risk construction activities. Key Responsibilities Safety Oversight: Ensure all personnel adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, and safe operation of equipment like pallet jacks. Site Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and induction requirements. Team Management: Oversee a group of 60 temporary workers, ensuring correct zoning, and adherence to safety procedures. Operational Coordination: Collaborate with operational staff to facilitate safe and efficient workflow, including tasks like shelving assembly, guard rail installation, and forklift operations. Hazard Identification: Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions. Incident Reporting: Investigate and report any safety incidents or near-misses, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Ideal Candidate Experience: 23 years in a safety advisor role within warehouse or construction environments. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills capable of effectively interacting with diverse teams. Certifications: Relevant safety qualifications are preferred.
