12-month contract, part-time role. About the role As our Early Childhood Educator , you will work in a collaborative environment alongside other team members to provide a responsive environment that supports childrens wellbeing, relationships and learning through intentional teaching, partnerships and critical reflection. You will be an important additional support for our kindy program, which reflects our vision of a creative learning environment for children of all abilities and cultures. You will collaborate and build relationships with our team of Social Workers, Early Childhood teachers, Speech Pathologist and Child Psychologist to ensure a high standard of care is provided. Put on your driving shoes because part of your role will be driving our Kindy Bus! Our kindy bus plays a crucial role in breaking down access barriers and transporting our littles to and from our centre. Its a 12-seater van full of fun! Duties Form positive relationships with children that foster their social, emotional and educational development. Observe how children respond to existing programming and provide feedback to senior staff to ensure the interests and needs of each child are being met. Assist with the implementation of daily routines, infection control measures and maintain supplies in each room. Drive our Kindy Bus in a responsible, calm and safe manner to ensure the safety of all staff and children. Our Benefits We support people to live their best life. That includes you, our employee. Skills and Experience Diploma qualified in Childrens Services or Early Childhood Education with experience in a similar role. A sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards. Great people skills and the ability to create strong respectful relationships with people from all walks of life. Good time management and organisational skills including the ability to be flexible. Experience developing a rich curriculum and up to date pedagogy. Commitment to lead your own intentional reflection to continually build practice and outcomes.
