With the expansion of our new intensive care unit, we are looking for ICU nurses to join the team at Animal Referral Hospital Brisbane and experience a workplace where every day is an adventure! Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide top-notch specialty services and 24/7 emergency and critical care. We are committed to maintaining high clinical and professional standards driven by genuine care and compassion. Our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team works around the clock with rotational shifts which is why we are looking for specialty nurses, who are able to work full-time to support our ICU and blood bank. Part-time nurses will also be considered. Our ECC nurses excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and love the camaraderie it fosters. They are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrive on the variety and unpredictability of emergency and critical care. About You You share our commitment to outstanding patient care and seek a role where no two shifts are the same. You enjoy working in an energetic team environment with plenty of good-natured banter. You are organized, adaptable, enthusiastic, and a strong communicator, skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced setting. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience. A friendly, easy-going nature, capable of working both independently and as part of a team. A strong work ethic, efficiency, problem solving and multitasking abilities. Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts. Desirable Attributes: Diploma of ECC, Veterinary Technician Specialist qualification or equivalent. CPR Recover Certification or willingness to obtain. Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients. Proficiency with CPR and intubation. Experience in an emergency or specialist hospital. Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx Blood Machines. Benefits: Work in a supportive, happy emergency team guided by an ECC specialist.
