The Position A rewarding opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-regarded Integrated Adult Mental Health Service in a permanent part-time role (0.5 FTE). This role spans both inpatient and community settings, delivering care to adults with complex mental health needsoften in the context of substance use, homelessness, or contact with the justice system. Youll provide specialist assessment, treatment planning, and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team, using recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centred approaches. Key responsibilities include oversight of allocated patients, care under the Mental Health and Guardianship Acts, and active collaboration with families, GPs, and NGOs. Youll also lead clinical handovers and participate in the on-call roster. The service forms part of a broader mental health network offering acute, rehabilitation, early intervention, and specialist programs. With strong academic links, youll have opportunities to contribute to teaching and supervision of medical students and psychiatry trainees.
