About the Role: As the Safety, Health & Environment Training Specialist , you will be our subject matter expert in SHE training programs & initiatives that address the continuing needs of the business. Applying instructional design and adult learning principles to support the ongoing development and safety training needs of the business, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative and engaging SHE learning initiatives, ensuring compliance with laws, codes, and regulations. Partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will drive the SHE competency framework and play a pivotal role in embedding a strong safety culture across the organisation. The Elders People & Performance Safety team is a key enabler of the business strategic plan. We have a fantastic opportunity to join the L&D team to expand our Blended Learning offerings. Reporting to the L&D Manager you will use your passion for Safety Instructional Design & Facilitation to enhance training in a way that it becomes part of what we do at Elders, anywhere, at any time. Key Responsibilities: As a Safety, Health & Environment Training Advisor Specialist, you will: Lead the design, delivery, and oversight of the SHE Competency Framework and training programs & initatives, ensuring compliance and engagement Develop and facilitate interactive blended learning content and assessments Conduct training needs analysis, track training completion, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend improvements Collaborate with internal experts, vendors, and business leaders to drive SHE culture and safety compliance Maintain accurate training records and documentation within Workday, managing licenses and certifications Support workplace safety through incident trend analysis, action planning, and visible leadership About you: To be successful in the Learning & Development Advisor Specialist role, you will have: Proven experience designing and delivering SHE training programs, with strong facilitation skills both virtually and in-person Demonstrated experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and SHE legislation at Federal, State, and Local levels. Proficient with LMS and systems (i.e. Workday, Articulate Rise, etc.) plus advanced MS Office skills Ability to conduct needs analysis, trainee assessments, and driving competency outcomes Exceptional communication, organisational, and stakeholder management abilities Passionate about safety culture with a proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
