Our Brisbane Airport Workshop is looking for our next Trades Assistant to join the team and drive the Workshop to new heights! Free Staff Parking Signing Bonus after 6 month & 12 month Brisbane Airport Career Growth and Development Opportunities Work Life Balance -> No Weekends & No Nights As a Trades Assistant , your primary focus in this role will be to ensure our range of fleet vehicles are serviced and maintained in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. Additionally, you will provide support to the Service Manager and Mechanics as required. Duties and Responsibilities Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturers specifications and company standards, including carrying out minor repairs and preventative maintenance checks on fleet vehicles (e.g. replacing fluids, changing oil/air filter, tyres, brakes, ski racks etc.) including cars, trucks and company fleet Monitor inventory and request order of new parts when necessary with Service Administrator Assemble mechanical components according to specifications Perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems Complete Repair Orders Providing breakdown assistance when necessary Preparing vehicles for hand back and sales. Testing and general servicing of workshop equipment for safety. Keeping accurate and on-time job records and recording servicing history in applicable systems Attend company/manufacturer training as necessary Working efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplishing organisational goals under limited supervision Driving vehicles as required. Other reasonable duties as requested by the Service Manage Skills & Experience Previous experience working in workshops is desired, but a great work ethic and a passion for cars is is just as good! Full drivers license Full & Unrestricted Working Rights (Ability to Work 38hrs per week) => We do not offer Sponsorships for this role Experience with both petrol and diesel motors A customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable approach to work each day. Ability to manage multiple tasks across multiple sites with a high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Good communications skills (written and verbal) with knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety legislation relevant to the role.
