Your opportunity Mission Australia is on the lookout for a seasoned and forward-thinking Fleet Manager to lead the strategic management of our diverse vehicle fleet nationally, in a max-term role through to February 2026 . This is more than a logistics role, its an opportunity to shape a service that directly supports life-changing work in communities nationwide. Youll be responsible for ensuring our fleet is not only safe, cost-effective, and legislatively compliant, but also responsive to the evolving needs of our people and the communities we serve. Working in a fast-paced, values-driven environment, youll manage supplier relationships, drive operational efficiency, lead contract negotiations, and deliver an exceptional support experience to vehicle drivers and managers alike. Your key responsibilities will be to: Provide management and oversight of the outsourced fleet management agency, fuel providers, vehicle manufacturers, dealerships, repair requests and vehicle servicing Ensure all vehicles are well suited to safety standards and evolving customer needs and is the most cost-effective solution for Mission Australia Coordinate new vehicle orders, branding of vehicles, negotiate lease contract changes, early termination of leases and redeployment of vehicles within the fleet, lease extensions, lease expiries, end of lease damage repairs and, return and disposal and sale of motor vehicles Validate all fuel, maintenance and lease charges from the outsourced fleet management agency Provide customer service to Mission Australia staff concerning all fleet queries and supply chain contracts and systems Provide accurate and efficient advice to drivers/custodians who need to make an insurance claim or have a general insurance query Manage all fleet service requests ensuring that all requests are responded to in a timely manner and followed through to completion Responsible for compiling and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the national fleet Requirements for success Qualifications relevant to fleet management or relevant experience Minimum three years'' experience in a similar role working within a fleet procurement team with regular customer interaction Knowledge of fleet services, fleet manufacture, retail pricing and leasing arrangements Previous experience developing safe driving programs and initiatives to improve insurance performance is desirable Change management andor project management experience is well regarded Experience in analytical problem-solving and the ability to support data gathering and analysis Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
