Canopy Caf St Margarets has recently opened the newly built Canopy Caf, which serves students, staff and the broader school community throughout the school day. The caf offers quick take away options as well as the opportunity to sit and enjoy the warm surroundings, with seating for up to 120 people. Our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities include a pizza oven that adds a new dimension to the menu. To support these new caf services, the catering team is looking to expand. We are currently inviting applications for the role of: Catering Assistant As part of the Catering team, the Catering Assistant assists with: Food preparation Customer service Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas Packing and distributing pre-orders Coffee making Contributing to the boarder catering team as required Shift times vary from 6am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, during school term periods. It is preferred candidates have availability across 4-5 days per week. About You You will be someone who enjoys the buzz of a busy catering environment. You will bring to the role: Previous experience in a similar role in a busy catering environment will be highly regarded Experience as a barista would be highly regarded The ability to work well in a positive team environment A working knowledge of food safety guidelines A can-do attitude and eagerness to learn What to expect As a recognised employer of choice, St Margarets takes great pride in providing a leading workplace culture.
