YOUR NEW ROLE Our client is looking for an outstanding Production Supervisor to join their team. This role reports into the National Operations Manager and is responsible for directing and leading the daily production activities to meet production goals, quality and cost objections, while providing immediate supervision to a team of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals and maintaining schedules. In this hands on role you will: Lead the workshop floor staff and activities Assist with technical and job issues Release jobs in Syteline as required Ensure job tickets are understood and instructions follows Operates equipment and back up operations as necessary Runs the production line with maximum efficiency Contributes and follows weekly scheduled work for the workshop Manages the maintenance of the machines and operational equipment Maintain the training and competency of all operators ABOUT YOU You have previously managed/supervised a workshop team and be willing to roll up your sleeves and get hands on, on the workshop floor as necessary. You will also bring with you the following skills / attributes: hands on experience in machine shop operations- lathing/milling/ welding Ability to organise and delegate work Ability to plan and problem solve Always demonstrate a right first time approach Be conscientious and understanding the importance of maintaining a highly qualify service and out put Follow instructions and procedures with a focus on quality of work You will be REWARDED with an excellent salary package including Base Super the opportunity to join a global organisation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
