Your opportunity to join our team at Murarrie! As Production Planner on the Day Shift (6.00am-2.30pm) you will support our primary processing plant at Murarrie, with responsibility for the development and delivery of the sites production schedule. Working closely with the Operations team and the wider planning teams nationally, you will manage a short shelf-life product in a high volume, fast paced environment, and consider plant and labour utilisation whilst ensuring inventory is in line with customer demand. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a production environment, exceptional stakeholder management skills and be an expert user of Excel. Key responsibilities: Generate daily and weekly optimised production schedules that balance supply and demand variables Collaborate with Production, Sales & Customer Service teams enabling clear communication and alignment of business outcomes Compile weekly reports on production performance & provide recommendations on planning opportunities that can improve Plant productivity Challenge existing practices & promote planning efficiencies Promote a flexible & enjoyable work environment through constructive peer engagement Ensure full compliance with regulation policies and procedures to maximise safety in the workplace Key requirements: Demonstrated knowledge and concepts of production planning / scheduling Advanced Excel/ VBA skills essential, knowledge in other programming languages preferred Solid knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI and Power Query, and advancements in AI technologies Experience in OLAP Queries Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to make recommendations and deliver efficiencies and cost savings A passion for driving continuous improvement initiatives Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information, in a structured way cross functionally Ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management and organisation, whilst maintaining high attention to detail Tertiary studies in Business or equivalent are preferred.
