Position: Cook Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $73,150 to $80,000 (excluding superannuation, bonus, commission, overtime and non-monetary benefits/allowances) Location: Capalaba QLD 4157 Our client Costas Seafood Caf is seeking a full-time Cook to join their seafood restaurant located in Capalaba, Queensland. Relevant duties and responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to standardised recipes and menu specifications; Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented in a timely and hygienic manner; Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas; Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control; Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage and labelling; Coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team for both service; Adjust recipes and/or cooking techniques to accommodate dietary needs or special requests; Inspect and ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients before use; Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions or hazards; Assist in developing new menu items and improving existing recipes Required Qualifications At least one of the following: an AQF (or equivalent) Certificate IV; an AQF (or equivalent) Certificate III, including at least two (2) years of on-the-job training; or at least (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualification. Required Experience A minimum of one (1) year of full-time relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen. Proven prior experience at a Seafood restaurant.
