We are now seeking an Associate Dean (Indigenous Strategy and Services) within the Faculty of Engineering who will be responsible for continuing our whole-of-University commitment to promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation, engagement, education and research. Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, this role will serve as an active and valued member of the Facultys Leadership Team and will have responsibility in supporting academic excellence and innovation in Indigenous education, research and student success. Strengthening government and industry networks for the Faculty along with continued positive community interactions with Indigenous Australians will be a key part of this role. This role is also a member of the University Executive Indigenous Strategy and Services Committee and will work closely with the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services) on the development of the next iteration of the Universitys One Sydney, Many People Indigenous strategy. This role has strong involvement with, and requires a deep understanding of, the issues relating to and affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, as well as an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively. Term and remuneration The successful candidate will be offered a four-year, full-time fixed-term position with a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidates relevant experience and qualifications.
