As our invaluable Maintenance Officer, you will be accountable for the provision of essential safety, preventative and breakdown maintenance in consultation with the Property Services Department & Maintenance Team Leader. The Maintenance Officer also completes regulatory equipment checks and assists with a variety of housekeeping and support service functions to ensure optimum standards in the physical environment of the site. Youll also make an impact by: Ensuring the maintenance of external environments including sweeping of verandas, pergolas, entrances and driveways. Responding to building or equipment problems and determine degree and urgency of work and liaising with contractors. Undertaking visual testing of all electrical appliances for new residents and completed relevant forms required for follow up testing and tagging. Providing assistance with other housekeeping and personal care needs as required. What youll bring To succeed in this role, you will have: Minimum of 3 years experience working in a building maintenance and/or fixed plant. Ability to provide clear and concise verbal and written instructions related to maintenance issues. Good verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people. Experience in the use of Microsoft desktop products such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.
