Were seeking a confident, capable Dental Practice Manager to lead a high-performing team at our Surry Hills Health Centre just 5 minutes from Central station. Location : Surry Hills health centre (5-minute walk from Central station) Employment type : Permanent full-time Hourly rate : Up to $50 per hour (depending on experience) About the Role As our Dental Practice Manager, youll lead a talented team of dental assistants and receptionists in a busy, fully-accredited centre. Youll balance hands-on clinical oversight with strategic leadership, helping us deliver exceptional patient care while driving operational excellence. Lead, support and develop dental assistants and receptionists across all aspects of performance, communication, and service delivery Manage staff development plans, performance reviews, audits, and team training Promote a positive and professional team culture aligned with Teachers Health values. Manage rostering, ordering, stock control, and equipment maintenance Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and accreditation standards Oversee patient bookings and chair utilisation to ensure clinical efficiency and flow Conduct operational audits and monitor systems for effectiveness Handle patient feedback, compliments and complaints with professionalism Represent the practice as a welcoming, helpful, and efficient environment Collaborate with dentists and admin teams to ensure high-quality service What are we looking for? Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Practice Manager Strong knowledge of infection control and practice compliance standards Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills Confident team leader with strong emotional intelligence and maturity Able to manage competing priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment A passion for delivering patient-centred care and operational excellence Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced) Experience with OASIS, Examine Pro, and HAMBS is desirable A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership Teachers Health is a not-for-profit health fund dedicated to teachers, nurses and university staff supporting over 360,000 members through our dental and optical Health Centres across various states.
