About the Opportunity: Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is a hands on, HR generalist role, responsible for leading a team of two, overseeing the payroll process and HR initiatives and developing best practice solutions across all employee lifecycle areas. Key Responsibility Areas: Provide timely advice, guidance and support to the Director and Management team across all people- related matters. Lead the payroll process (including overseeing the HR/Payroll Coordinator, addressing escalated issues and providing backup coverage where required). Audit and provide recommendations to ensure compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements. Assist in ensuring effective workforce scheduling and people productivity through effective rostering principals and workforce planning processes. Develop people dashboard metrics and regularly update against performance. Manage all Industrial and Workplace Relations matters, including dispute resolution, liaison with industrial advocates and unions. Lead onboarding processes to ensure a positive and effective introduction to the organisation to set people up for success. Review the organisations approach to performance management and development ensuring approach is best practice and aligned to organisational objectives. Lead the recruitment and selection processes to ensure best fit employees in a timely manner. Oversight of training and development for compliance and broader people development. Measure and monitor success of employee engagement and associated activities. Oversee WHS and manage incident and injury claims. Support the CEO and leadership team in the development and execution of the people and culture strategy. Develop a remuneration framework and make salary recommendations to the CEO and executive managers aligned to market conditions and individual performance. Lead organisational design and workforce planning to ensure alignment with strategic direction. What you look like and need to demonstrate to be successful: Minimum of 5 years experience within Human Resources senior roles (with significant generalist and Employee Relations experience and a previous high level of exposure to payroll processes). Experience with Kronos, within the health sector and tertiary qualified in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience, all viewed favourably. Proven ability to build respected and effective relationships with stakeholders. A strong, practical understanding of relevant HR legislation, NES & Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements. Strong experience in workforce planning and rostering practices. Performance management coaching confidence. Experience in fundamentals of all employee lifecycle areas including Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance, Employee Relations and Training. Demonstrated experience managing remuneration processes and reviews. Prior exposure to Workers Compensation and Injury Management practices. Proven capacity to operate both strategically and operationally and demonstrated ability to critically analyse issues and develop and implement effective strategies and solutions. Previous exposure to generating HR Board and Leadership Reporting around fundamental metrics. Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills.
