This leadership role plays a pivotal role in facilitating land access and supporting development activities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while fostering trust and positive relationships with landholders and community stakeholders. Skills and Experience 10 years of proven expertise in land access, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement within Queensland''s oil & gas sector. Skilled in drafting and negotiating land access agreements, ensuring clarity, compliance, and mutual benefit. In-depth knowledge of Queenslands land access legislation and regulatory landscape. Adept at developing strategic compensation frameworks that align with project timelines and stakeholder expectations. Experienced in securing and maintaining regulatory approvals, navigating complex legislative requirements. Strong track record of building respectful, productive relationships with cultural heritage and native title groups to support exploration and development. Confident in planning and leading community engagement initiatives, ensuring transparency and local support. Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levelswithin teams and externallywithout formal authority. Skilled in managing complex stakeholders, navigating sensitive negotiations, resolving conflicts, and maintaining resilience under pressure. Experience in strategic planning and change management, with a focus on solving complex business challenges and driving continuous improvement. Trusted advisor to senior leadership, with experience in briefing executives on emerging risks and opportunities. Deep understanding of the petroleum and gas industry, including land access, cultural heritage, native title, and tenement regulations. Strong grasp of health, safety, environmental, and community concerns, with a stakeholder-first mindset.
