Youll be based in Brisbane in a high-performing claims team with a supportive manager and clear development pathways ahead. The Role As a Senior Claims Consultant, youll manage a portfolio of commercial motor claims from lodgement to resolution in a modern, easily accessed Fortitude Valley office. These are typically straightforward claims (sedans, light vehicles, rental fleets) but what sets this role apart is your ability to support others, manage escalations, and drive better outcomes through your leadership presence and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Manage 250300 active motor claims end-to-end Handle all stages of the claims lifecycle including lodgement, liability, repairs, settlements and closure Work closely with suppliers and service partners to ensure smooth resolution Liaise with customers, brokers, and third parties with professionalism and empathy Act as a point of support for junior team members and share knowledge across the team Assist with training, coaching, and informal mentoring as needed Manage more complex claims within your delegated authority Help identify process improvements to drive better outcomes for customers and the business Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory requirements What Youll Bring 23 years experience in motor insurance claims Strong technical knowledge across motor claims processes Ability to manage high-volume portfolios while maintaining accuracy and service standards Excellent communication and negotiation skills Confidence supporting team members and managing internal escalations A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Familiarity with the Insurance Contracts Act and relevant compliance frameworks A calm and solutions-focused approach to complex or sensitive matters The Benefits Base salary: $85,000 $95,000 super Annual bonus: Discretionary annual bonus Career growth: Opportunity to step into future leadership roles as the business evolves Group benefits include: Discounted gym memberships and Qantas Club access Free travel insurance for you and your family Discounts on car hire and retail products via employee platform Culture: Friendly, grounded and professional team with direct access to senior leadership How to Apply Want to be part of a team where your contribution is recognised and your career can grow?
