Using your strategic insight and strong industry relationships, you will spearhead high-impact deals that accelerate audience growth and drive commercial success. If youre ready to take ownership of a thriving service and shape its future, this role is for you.As the Head of Business Development for ANZ, you will own the full partnership lifecycle across broadcasters, studios, distributors, and digital content creators. Your mission: aggressively grow Samsung TV Plus through securing transformative deals and expanding into untapped content verticals. Working closely with regional and global BD, Content, and Ad Sales teams, you will ensure tight alignment on business planning, commercial targets, and strategic priorities positioning the platform for sustained success and scale in the region.ResponsibilitiesLead and drive business development efforts across ANZ, focusing on sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact content deals that expand Samsung TV Plus reach and platform differentiationIdentify and secure new partnership categories and content verticals that create competitive advantage and reflect evolving local market dynamicsOwn the end-to-end commercial deal process from initial outreach, negotiation, contract execution, to ongoing relationship management and renewalPrioritise and tier partners based on business value, market opportunity, and platform fit to maximise viewer engagement and monetisation potentialCollaborate closely with regional and global BD, Ads, and Commercial teams to align deals with revenue goals and platform growth initiativesOversee deal pipeline management and reporting using internal systems (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring transparency and timely progression of key negotiationsEnsure compliance with local regulatory and licensing requirements relevant to content acquisition and distributionTrack and manage partner contracts, including renewals, amendments, expiries, and ongoing compliance requirements.Work alongside the Regional Head of APAC and global functional leads on business planning, performance tracking, and cross-market alignmentBuild and maintain strong, trusted relationships with local industry partners, driving long-term collaboration and competitive positioning for Samsung TV PlusQualifications10-12+ years experience in business development, content acquisition, or content partnerships in media, streaming or entertainmentDeep understanding of Southeast Asia and Indias content ecosystems, with established networks across broadcasters, platforms, and producersExperience leading cross-regional or multi-market teams and driving commercial growthProven track record of closing complex licensing or channel deals with multiple rights implicationsFamiliarity with AVOD/FAST models, digital advertising, and content monetisation strategiesExcellent negotiation, stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skillsStrong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to pivot from high-level vision to deal detailBasic RequirementsStrategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
