The Group also has an office in Melbourne.The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly seasoned Responsible Manager to take full accountability for ensuring that the business and all of its CARs are meeting their legal, regulatory, and licencing obligations under the AFSL. This is an end-to-end role so the selected individual will be responsible for the both the high-level oversight as well as the process-driven day-to-day execution.This is a pivotal role with operational and strategic responsibility across licence maintenance, compliance monitoring, regulatory obligations, and AFSL governance. You will be the nominated Responsible Manager for the licence. Given the business is in its early stages, the chosen individual will be able to growth with the business, and have the opportunity to be a key player.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Responsible Manager for Brindabellas AFSL, maintaining ongoing competency in line with ASIC RG 105Day-to-day execution and maintenance of the AFSL Compliance Framework, policies and registersOversight and supervision of all Corporate Authorised Representatives (CARs), including onboarding, monitoring, training, and breach managementLead the compliance monitoring program and support internal/external audits and regulatory reviewsManage all regulatory lodgements and correspondence with ASIC and other relevant authoritiesMaintain and oversee the Compliance Plan and related obligations under the Corporations Act 2001Work closely with the operations, fund administration and legal teams to ensure compliance is embedded in business-as-usual activitiesDevelop and deliver compliance training to internal staff and CARsMonitor regulatory changes, update internal policies and educate the business accordinglyMaintain ASICs expectations in relation to financial product advice, dealing, custody, and trustee obligationsAbout YouMinimum 57 years of relevant experience in financial services, ideally in an AFSL compliance, trustee or fund services environmentPreviously acted as or supported a Responsible Manager, with strong working knowledge of RG 105, RG 146, RG 166, RG 45, RG 132, RG 133, RG 134, and RG 78Strong understanding of the Corporations Act, ASIC regulatory guides, and wholesale managed investment scheme obligationsConfident managing compliance for non-RE trustee structures, custody services, and CAR frameworksHighly detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skillsIndependent, proactive and capable of owning the function from end to endRelevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Compliance, or related fields; additional compliance or governance certifications preferredWhy Brindabella?Opportunity to own and lead the compliance function in a growing, well-capitalised AFSL businessWork closely with experienced professionals and boutique fund managersFlexible working options and a collaborative team cultureA strategic role that directly influences risk management and governanceIn recognition of your hard work, you will receive a generous salary with annual pay reviews.
