We are proud to have passionate and dedicated staff who recognise the unique strengths and qualities of every Pymble girl.The roleIn preparation for the opening of our new Early Years School in 2026, Pymble Ladies College is seeking an exceptional educator and leader to join us as the Deputy Head of Early Years - Educational Leader.The Early Years School is a purpose-built early childhood service, situated in the Grey House Precinct of Pymble Ladies College. The service is intended to provide our Pymble family and wider community with high quality learning and care, reflective of the extensive opportunities and underpinning values of the College.The Early Years School will operate as a 90 place long day care service open to girls and boys between the ages of 3 months to 6 years. This is a unique opportunity to partner with our Head of Early Years and help shape the vision, culture, and daily operations of an innovative early learning environment within one of Australias leading independent schools.The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify and manage resources, and support the successful delivery of projects related to the Early Years School on time, within budget and meeting quality standards.As an educational leader, the role will be integral in developing a collaborative team of educators who have a deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, commitment to play based experiences, and strong belief in the capacity of young children to be curious and creative co-contributors in their learning journey.The position requires a deep understanding of early childhood pedagogies and the National Quality Standards (NQS), and demonstrated capacity to shape initial educational programs for the Early Years School, ensuring the visibility and intent of our underpinning philosophy.You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:Willingness to support and promote the ethos and values of the CollegeAn ACECQA recognised degree in Early Childhood EducationA visible joy and commitment to working with young children and familiesProven experience in project management, preferably in the establishment of an early childhood education and care serviceThorough knowledge of National Law and National Regulations related to Early Childhood Education and CareProven leadership in the design and delivery of programs to advance the outcomes of the National Quality StandardsCapacity to lead educators to development and implement an effective educational program through a deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being and BecomingKnowledge of different approaches to meet the complex needs of children from a range of backgrounds and abilitiesKnowledge of theory relating to childhood education and care including, child development, attachment and learningDemonstrated organisation and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal oral and written communicationExperience building quality relationships with the range of stakeholders and an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goalsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to display initiative, contribute new ideas, evaluate and challenge current systems and proceduresDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvementProficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to always demonstrate professional conduct and discretionYour kind of workplacePymble people are at the heart of what the College offers its students.
