In this role, youll work alongside our account managers and technical team to ensure all ATO, ASIC, and other regulatory obligations are handled smoothly, professionally, and on time.Youll be the primary point of contact for compliance-related client communications and documentation, while also driving internal workflows to ensure our lodgement and regulatory obligations are met earlynot just on deadline.This is a full-time role based in Sydney with flexibility to accommodate the right candidate who may prefer part-time hours (e.g., school hours or 34 days/week).The ideal person will bring 45+ years of experience in a public practice accounting firm , be confident liaising with regulatory bodies, and understand the tools, tone, and timing required to deliver a high-quality client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Communication & AdminLiaise directly with clients regarding ATO, ASIC, Revenue NSW and other government agency correspondence.Be the first point of contact for regulatory lodgement-related queries.Maintain a professional and empathetic tone when dealing with sensitive compliance matters.Manage client signature workflows through DocuSign and Dropbox Sign, ensuring accuracy of all documents before lodgement.Regulatory & Compliance WorkflowOwn the ATO, ASIC, OSR and general lodgement workflow and proactively drive early completion.Lodge ATO activity statements, tax returns, and other regulatory documents via Xero Tax, NowInfinity, and other tools.Submit ASIC company changes (e.g. director/shareholder/address updates) on behalf of clients.Negotiate payment arrangements with the ATO.Track and manage all regulatory deadlines in Asana and XPM.Client Onboarding & SupportManage the onboarding experience for new clients, ensuring all compliance documentation, engagement letters, and checklists are completed.Support account managers in preparing and circulating board papers, sensitive reports, and meeting documents.Maintain client records across Dropbox, FYI Docs, and other key software platforms.Executive & Internal SupportProvide light executive assistance to the Director (e.g., basic calendar/inbox support, document prep).Assist with internal compliance documentation and workflow support for the Head of Operations.Coordinate team checklists and maintain internal delivery standards.Who This Role SuitsYouve worked in a public practice accounting firm for at least 4 yearsYoure confident speaking with the ATO and ASIC, and know how to navigate their systemsYou love helping people, creating order, and spotting things others missYoure familiar with XPM, FYI Docs, NowInfinity, DocuSign, Dropbox, Asana, XeroYou value high standards, follow-through, and clear communicationBenefitsFull-time position (flexibility for part-time may be available for the right candidate)Work with a dynamic, growing advisory firmBeautiful office space + hybrid working optionsProfessional, supportive, and values-driven cultureBefore we jump into the responsibilities of the role.
