Cadia produces gold dor bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The Orange region is often referred to as the gateway to Country New South Wales with acclaimed wineries, fine dining, annual festivals and charming heritage villages making for an unparalleled work-life balance.Who we''re looking for:As a Site Asset Operations Centre (SAOC) Technician, you''ll play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our control room operations to ensure the safe and smooth functioning of our fixed and mobile assets.The key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):Providing support to the site to help deliver production targets in a responsible, sustainable, and cost-effective manner.Working closely with production personnel and providing them with timely and accurate information.Highlighting issues that arise and follow escalation procedures to achieve resolution.Contribute to a business improvement culture.Demonstrate a high regard for safety and be willing to challenge the status quo with regards to safety standards you will be responsible for various processes which keep people in the field safe.Encouraging and supporting Newmonts safety culture, values and behaviours at Cadia.The successful candidate will ideally possess the followingqualifications, skills and experience:Previous experience in control room operations (Processing plant control desirable)Proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience in solving mining and/or processing issuesSelf-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomouslyExcellent attention to detail and time management skillsStrong active listening and interpersonal skills for rapport buildingWe understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
