You could be one of our 3000 committed team members who are up to the challenge.Ready to make a difference on the rails?About The RoleAs a Conductor Services Officer, youre not just a member of the Customer Group; youre the face of V/Line, ensuring every journey is safe, smooth, and enjoyable for our passengers onboard the train. Your role is crucial in delivering top-notch customer service and maintaining high standards on our regional trains across Victoria.By showcasing your initiative and knowledge of V/Line policies, youll ensure the safety and satisfaction of our passengers, contributing to V/Lines success and revenue protection.This is an ongoing, permanent position featuring a rotating roster. Due to the operational nature of our services, you will work on a 24/7 roster.Depending on scheduling and business needs, you may be required to sign on and work at various stations along the Ararat line within 80km of your Home Depot.Key Accountabilities include:Be the go-to person for passengers, providing assistance and information to customers face to face, and via a PA systemEnsure trains are ready for service, from cleanliness to functionalityHandle ticket sales, checking tickets, and provide fare advice during train services.Support station operations including ticket salesOversee train departures and assist with luggage at stationsManage coaches during planned and unplanned disruptions and eventsManage and report any equipment or facility issuesCommunication of service changes, coach coordinationThe role is highly autonomous therefore youll possess a level of maturity, previous success in operating in a safety and time critical environment and an absolute commitment to providing superior customer service.About YouYou will bring a mature approach, proven success in safety and time-critical environments, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
