Exciting new role developing our equity and inclusion strategyOpportunity to create and bring best practice to The GordonGeelong City LocationAbout the RoleWere excited to offer a new opportunity for an Equity and Inclusion Lead to join The Gordon. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies supporting a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace for all.You will lead and influence positive change in supporting the delivery of equity and inclusion initiatives, embedding inclusive practices across policies, culture and measuring their impact to ensure alignment with The Gordons strategy. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders and leaders providing expert advice on key equity and inclusion matters, lead data analysis, and report on progress towards equity and inclusion goals.Some key areas of responsibility include but a not limited to:Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve culture, equity, and inclusion initiatives aligned with strategic priorities.Lead the development of our Organisational Equity and Inclusion Action Plan, embedding human rights principles.Lead the implementation of The Gordons Gender Equality Plan, including associated action plans, evaluation frameworks and communication strategies.Drive organisational progress toward achieving DEI accreditations (e.g. Rainbow Tick, Diversity Council Australia - Inclusive Employers Association).Lead the development and delivery of high-impact initiatives promoting belonging, inclusion, and equity across the organisation.Design and deliver tailored equity & inclusion training programs and workshops for all employee levels, including leadership.Check out the Position Description to find out more about this amazing opportunity!About YouAre you passionate and experienced designing and implementing equity and inclusion strategies? Do you know what best practice looks like? If so, we want to hear from you.You will bring a strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles, relevant legislation and contemporary best practices. You will have experience designing and delivering engaging workshops and working collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, including executive leadership.This role requires a strategic and analytical thinker capable of assessing program impact, influencing outcomes and making evidence-based decisions, while being hands on ensuring the effective delivery and continuous improvement of DEI initiatives.Some key skills and experience we are after include, but are limited to:Experience leading equity and inclusion centred initiatives within a People and Culture function.Experience working for or with a WGEA Employer of Choice organisation (preferred).Experience working in large and complex businesses, influencing cross-functionally.Strong knowledge of equity and inclusion frameworks, best practices, and emerging trends.Familiarity with compliance and reporting standards, such as WGEA, Employer of Choice, and Gender Equality Reporting.Knowledge and understanding of key legislation underpinning equity and inclusion in the workplace.Take a look at the Position Description for more information on knowledge and experience!If this sounds like an opportunity for you, please apply!Please note, candidate reviews and interviews may be conducted prior to the closing date, so get your application in now so you dont miss this exciting new role.Whats next?Applications close 2 July 2025 @ 11:30pmSalary:PACCT 8 | $109,738.00 - $115,581.00 + SuperannuationWe are committed to a diverse, inclusive, and safe workplace where everyone can thrive.
