With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world''s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:With an exciting pipeline of infrastructure and operational transport modelling projects across Western Australia (WA) and nationally, our National Transport Modelling Team is offering a new opportunity for a Principal Transport Modeller based in our Perth office and responsible for strengthening our presence across transport modelling in WA.Working within a diverse, inclusive, industry-leading team, you will provide operational transport modelling services as part of our Advisory, Planning and Technology (APT) business. You will work with our WA clients and Arcadis infrastructure teams in delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, such as the Tonkin Highway Grade Separation, Perth Airport Upgrades, etc.The focus of the role will be work winning where you are going to build upon existing customer relationships as well as identify new modelling opportunities.We want someone who can be strategic and able to position Arcadis to maximise our market potential in transport modelling. A deep understanding of the WA transport modelling market will be a great benefit.You possess strong experience in one or more areas as follows:Operational traffic modelling (i.e. AIMSUN, or VISSIM)Intersection modelling (i.e. SIDRA)Strategic modelling (some knowledge)Transport modelling services for land development, network studies, master planning, options analysis, concept design and detailed design, public transport planning, traffic impact assessment.Role accountabilities:Manage and deliver transport modelling projects, and lead modelling components within major infrastructure projectsLead transport modelling bids and contribute to modelling aspects of major infrastructure tendersDemonstrate technical excellence in transport modelling and conduct technical reviews for quality assuranceCollaborate closely with discipline leads, team leads, and project managers, both internally and externallyUndertake business development activities, identify and track opportunities, and build a pipeline of workDevelop and maintain client relationships with government agencies and local authorities in WAManage risks, resolve issues, and proactively solve problems for transport modelling teams or in projectsQualifications & Experience:First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned transport modelling professional with strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a consulting environment. You will come to us with:Minimum of 12 years experience in transport modellingDegree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; a Masters degree in Traffic or Transport is advantageousChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), National Engineering Register (NER) and/or equivalent accreditationStrong expertise in one or more transport modelling packages such as AIMSUN or VISSIM, SIDRA, etcProven track record in managing and delivering complex operational modelling projects and major infrastructure projectsDemonstrated success in leading bids and tendersExcellent communication, presentation, and report writing skillsAbility to undertake business development and identify new opportunitiesEstablished relationships with WA government agencies and local authoritiesContinue your career journey as an ArcadianWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
