The RPS Project Management team in Townsville is expanding, with a strong outlook for 2025 and beyond, supported by key long-term projects.We are currently pursuing multiple opportunities with existing clients across government and health sectors. To support these initiatives, RPS seeks a qualified and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the growth of our project management business.The Senior Project Manager role offers leadership, ownership, scope, collaboration, autonomy, and the challenge of delivering significant projects for valued clients. Our team is growing, with opportunities for career development and a collaborative culture.This role is ideal for an experienced project management professional eager to lead infrastructure and building construction projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to line management. While preference is for Mackay-based applicants, RPS is open to a co-located service delivery model with regular attendance in Mackay.About YouYou will hold a tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field.10+ years of project management experience.Experience in client-side project management within government and health projects, especially infrastructure planning and delivery.Recent project experience involving buildings and construction.Proven leadership skills, including team management.Strong understanding of managing contracts, contract administration, and design management.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.Exceptional time management and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project is desirable.Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and retain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.AIPM Certified Practising Project Manager certification or equivalent is preferred.Additional requirements for an SPM include:Ability to work within a large team and lead junior staff.Desire to work on complex, major projects.Flexibility to travel for site meetings and activities.What''s on OfferBenefitsAlongside a competitive salary, RPS offers a welcoming, collaborative environment among environmental experts.
