It is to assist with this particular aspect of the Principals leadership role that the role of APA has been created. The APA focuses on providing leadership in the overall organisation of school systems, according to Diocesan policies and practices.The successful applicant will have a deep commitment to providing quality Catholic education based on your faith, participate in the life of the parish, as well as have appropriate teaching experience, academic qualifications and leadership qualities.For more information, please view the Position Description .This is a full-time position commencing from 19 January 2026.Key Leadership Qualities And CapabilitiesWe are seeking to appoint a leader whois a practising Catholic with a sound understanding of, and commitment to Catholic educationhas experience of successful leadership in Catholic educationcan foster a culture of inspirational teaching and learning and lead the development and implementation of school improvement initiativeshas the interpersonal skills to build partnerships within the school and with the local communityis willing to provide leadership in areas delegated by the Principal in the APA duty statement, andcan lead in ways that are consistent with the message of Jesus and the GospelsCatholic church teachings, principles and valuesDiocesan policies and directivesThe Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton CharterCatholic Education Mission and Vision Statements, policies, practices and strategic directions.About UsSt Marys School offers a balanced curriculum in a child centred, friendly environment. The school is located in an urban setting on a large parcel of land with well-maintained and well-resourced grounds. The school has a strong Music Program which includes lessons and training for the school concert bands. Part of the Music program also includes 2 choirs, a Junior and a Senior Choir. The students enjoy many opportunities to be involved in sporting activities e.g. surf life saving and interschool sport, competitions e.g. eisteddfods.
