We will provide vital services, including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Western Health, this state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in supporting the communitybe part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.THE POSITIONBased in Footscray, Melbourne, Victoria, the General Services Manager oversees and manages non-medical services. The scope of this role includes Cleaning, Catering, Orderlies, Patient Service Assistants, Environmental Service,Security, grounds and gardens.Critical to this role is the ability to manage and maintain a strong client partnership whilst delivering exceptional service, safety and quality standards across all sectors within the scope of the contractual and budgeted requirements.Effectively oversee all contracted services?within the hospital ensuring theyre performing to the highest standard including quality, cost, safety and service deliveryDevelop and maintain a strong client and contractual relationship across a wide stakeholder group.Develop the operational quality and safety leadership capabilities across the Management team in order to provide exceptional service to our client and drive growth through our client partnership.Foster a culture of care and respect in the workplace and lead people related initiatives to drive team engagementMaintain exceptional financial stewardship and budget control, achieve targets and identify business growth opportunities through contract expansionEnsure all compliance and company policies are adhered to, and oversee and promote good contract governanceTHE PERSONExperience in successfully managing complex and highly compliant operational contracts and budgets, preferably in a hospital environmentStrong and effective leadership skills; the ability to support, motivate and effectively manage both a unionised, and non-unionised workforcePassionate about high standards of delivery, levels of customer satisfaction and engagement with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvementWell-developed negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to navigate a political environmentThorough understanding of the operational day to day requirements that pertain to a successful business as well as the ability to accurately identify areas improvementPrevious experience in multi-service / facilities management role within the healthcare sectorQualifications in Management are advantageousAs an occupational requirement of this role the successful applicant will be required to meet site entry requirements including but not limited to a current National Police Clearance & Relevant Immunisation Schedule.THE BENEFITSAs a Manager with Compass Group, you will have the support, infrastructure, systems and processes that you would expect from a global organisational.
