ALS is a fearless advocate for justice, committed to strengthening families, empowering communities, and achieving positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.About the RoleThis is not a desk-bound leadership role. As Program Manager of the Aboriginal Child & Family Advocacy and Support (ACFAS) program, youll be actively involved in day-to-day service delivery- guiding, supporting, and walking alongside your team to deliver culturally safe, community-led advocacy for Aboriginal children and families.Working from the Dubbo branch (with some travel to Moree), youll lead a tight-knit team of social workers and community advocates, providing practical, trauma-informed support to families navigating the child protection and justice systems.This is an opportunity to be deeply embedded in frontline work while also shaping broader service direction and advocacy. Youll collaborate closely with ALS legal teams and sector partners to deliver wraparound support, while ensuring the voices and values of Aboriginal families remain at the centre of all decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery and evaluation of the ACFAS program aligned with ALSs strategic visionProvide responsive, supportive leadership to a small team of Community AdvocatesWork side-by-side with legal and non-legal staff to meet the needs of clientsMonitor service performance, quality and impactStrengthen community and stakeholder relationships through active, visible engagementEnsure the voice, values, and rights of Aboriginal people are central to all practiceAbout YouEssential experience & attributes:Deep knowledge of and respect for Aboriginal culture, values and communitiesTertiary qualifications in social work, community services or related fieldProven leadership experience in service delivery within justice, legal, social work or community-based settingsExceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
