Position: Quality Assurance AssistantLocation: South Windsor, NSWType: Full-time, Entry level About The Role The Quality Assurance Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring that all poultry meat products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing quality assurance processes, conducting audits, and implementing quality control measures to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction. Key Duties Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP). Maintain accurate records of QA activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and summaries for the farming division. Review QA Monitoring Forms, prepare, and present quality reports to management with key metrics, findings, and improvement recommendations. Collaborate with production and processing teams to promote a culture of quality and ensure understanding of standards. Conduct operational quality checks on the production line with QA Officers. Stay updated on food safety regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance. Oversee product sampling and testing to meet quality and safety standards. Drive Good Manufacturing Practices, cleaning, and sanitation in the processing facility. Coordinate with external labs for microbiological testing, nutritional analysis, etc. Perform daily plant hygiene checks. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in QA processes and product quality. Candidate Profile Ideal candidates will have experience and formal qualifications in food safety/HACCP, or a willingness to obtain such certifications. This role is suitable for an experienced QA Line Operator seeking advancement. Effective communication, teamwork, a valid drivers license, and flexibility with hours are essential.
