Your next opportunityAn opportunity exists for an integral leadership role within Borals Marulan Lime Plant located in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Borals prized upstream cement business is an important supplier for our downstream businesses and external customers. As a key people leader, this role leads, plans and coordinates the Marulan Lime Production and Maintenance activities to ensure that products are manufactured on a timely basis to meet customer quality standards, specifications and delivery expectations at optimum cost and in compliance with safety standards.This role will report to the General Manager Maldon and Marulan Lime and will manage a sizeable production and maintenance team.Your day will involve:Ensures the timely production of quality products to fulfil forecasted volume and mix requirements by managing the Marulan Lime Works production, technical, quality, environment and site support activitiesCo-ordination and performance of the day-to-day operation and production shifts at Maldon in order to enable the meeting of budgets in terms of production, efficiency and quality in a safe and environmentally sound mannerContinuously monitors plant utilisation, capacity, technical performance and similar control ratios to ensure they meet planned target levels and takes corrective actions, including root cause analysisEnsures the effective operation and maintenance of the Marulan Lime site mobile plant and equipmentCoordinates production processes, plant recoveries, operating costs and expenses within agreed cost and schedule budgets, and to required standards, and by the application of Company financial and cost & schedule reporting systemsEnsures maintenance activities required to support production of product take place in a co-ordinated manner to ensure reliable plant performance.Contributes to the technical development of the Company by liaison with relevant internal and external bodies and ensures that the Marulan Lime Works meets it statutory obligations, corporate standards and reporting and community expectations in relation to environmental management and sustainabilityIn conjunction with the quality manager ensures the effective and consistent application of quality systems to meet quality specifications and standards by overseeing the development, implementation of and adherence to such systems and the delivery of requisite employee training programmes.Maintain a highly-skilled, productive workforce by coaching, mentoring, developing and managing performance of employees, ensuring the provision of a harmonious work environmentContributing to employee and plant safety by ensuring statutory safety policy is being followed by monitoring Hazard Log, safety meetings, safety communication and other safety KPIs or programs as set by BoralWhat are we looking for?Demonstrated industry experience in the Construction, Mining and/or Manufacturing Industry, ideally within Cement or Lime manufacturingTertiary qualification preferably in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical EngineeringKnowledge of continuous process industry (heavy machinery, manufacturing)A bias for action, strong safety focus and ability to positively influence trust and confidence in working relationshipsDemonstrated people leadership ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influenceSolid understanding of maintenance systems and fixed plant maintenance.Whats on offer?Permanent, full-time opportunityAccess to a variety of support networks including Boral Employee Assistance ProgramWork for a values-based business that shares goals and celebrates individual and team successWe provide a working environment that is safe, caring, supportive and dynamic with a clear focus on continually encouraging and developing its peopleJoin an industry aimed at offering value to the community & committed to Zero HarmIconic market leader committed to driving sustainable outcomesWe are Australian-owned and operated.About Boral CementAt Boral, we supply up to 4 million tonnes of cementitious products through our Berrima Clinker & Cement Manufacturing, Maldon Cement Grinding & Packaging, Marulan South Limestone Mine & Manufacturing, and Geelong Cement Grinding Operations.
