Our objective is the long-term protection, ecologically sustainable use, understanding and enjoyment of the Great Barrier Reef for all Australians and the international community through the care and development of the Marine Park.Were looking for a strategic, skilled policy and project professional to help shape the Reef Authoritys response to key external threats and drive forward major initiatives. Youll play a pivotal role in aligning our strategic direction, managing policy projects, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain the Reefs resilience.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact programs including:The Reef 2050 Long-Term Sustainability PlanSustainable FisheriesTraditional Owner PartnershipsInternational and World Heritage activitiesYoull work closely with senior leaders, provide expert advice, and represent the Authority in external forums - all while being part of a small, high-performing team.This position can be based in Townsville or Canberra, and flexible working arrangements may be considered.
