The role also integrates quantity surveying (QS) knowledge to support accurate project costing and commercial decisions, while aligning supply chain activities with contract requirements and company goals.Educational Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Experience Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain or procurement roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity. Prior experience in the railway, infrastructure, or construction industry is highly preferred. QS (Quantity Surveying) and Contracts management experience is preferred. Familiarity with railway track materials, rail bound plant, and technical procurement processes is an added advantage.Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and systems to support project timelines and cost control. Lead procurement operations including sourcing, bidding, negotiation, contract award, and supplier management. Apply QS principles to support project budgeting, cost tracking, and valuation of materials and services. Coordinate material logistics, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure on-time delivery aligned with project needs. Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, including evaluation, onboarding, and performance assessment. Monitor and analyze supply chain KPIs to drive continuous improvement and identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate closely with Project, Commercial, QS, and Engineering teams to align procurement with contractual obligations and technical specifications. Ensure adherence to procurement compliance, regulatory standards, and internal audit requirements. Identify and mitigate supply risks, including material shortages, price escalations, and contractual delays. Prepare regular reports for senior management on procurement status, material forecasts, and cost trends. Lead and mentor the supply chain team to enhance functional performance and cross-departmental coordination. Perform any other duties or assignments as directed by the Managing Director or senior management from time to time, including special projects or cross-functional tasks.Requirements & Skills Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes in infrastructure or construction environments. Solid foundation in quantity surveying and understanding of contractual terms and cost control. Experience in contract management or similar standards is preferred. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Proven leadership abilities and team management experience.
