Diary and Office Manager (EOB), Senator Nita GreenThe office of Senator Nita Green is seeking applications for a full-time ongoing Diary and Office Manager, based in the Senators Electorate Office in Cairns, QLD.Position OverviewSenator Green is seeking an enthusiastic person with experience providing executive-level assistance and well-developed communication skills to fulfill this busy role in a supportive team environment. This position supports the day-to-day management of the Senators diary, including appointments and travel, and is crucial to the ongoing success of the Office.The key duties of the position include but are not limited to:Management of the Senators diary, including appointments, travel, and other logisticsManagement of correspondence, including emails and mailFirst point of contact for constituent and stakeholder meetingsOffice administration, including invoice payments and management of suppliesConstituent correspondence and case workManaging the office, coordinating responses to incoming letters, calls, and emailsEnsuring the office provides timely service to constituents and community organizationsOrganising functions and meetings, and other duties as directedPromoting, supporting, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace cultureRegular interstate and Canberra travel may be required, with occasional irregular work hours, especially during parliamentary sitting weeksOther duties as required to support the Parliamentarian and the effective operation of the Electorate OfficeThe ideal applicant should possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience:Experience in a similar administrative role, highly regarded, especially in government or political settingsStrong organisational and time management skills with attention to detailThe ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlinesA keen interest in and understanding of Australias system of government and parliamentary processesIntermediate to advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office programsDemonstrated professional integrity, discretion, and confidentialityA respectful demeanour when engaging with staff and constituentsSalary will range between $74,095 and $86,506, depending on experience and skills. An additional optional allowance of up to $35,793 may be offered to compensate for extra hours and travel. Relocation assistance, studies support, and paid study leave may also be available (subject to eligibility).
