Translation Project Manager - Japanese FocusLocation: Australia; China; Korea; JapanWork structure: Full time, permanentWorking with the wider Project Management team, the Translation Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the full lifecycle of translation and localization projects with a focus on quality checks to completion whilst ensuring IQVIAs standards are met.Key Responsibilities:Manage multiple translation and localization projects at any one time from receipt to completionLiaise with the client to assess and agree project parameters and requirementsAssess project scope to select appropriate vendors and negotiate deadlines effectivelyEstablish and maintain excellent relationships with freelance and in house linguists globallyMonitor and manage the status of assigned projects to effectively anticipate and prevent issuesAccurately complete project finances including quoting and budgetingPrepare and maintain project documentation and informationUnderstand and adhere to the Quality Management SystemComply with relevant and applicable IQVIA procedures and SOPsAssist in the maintenance of linguistic assets including glossaries and style guidesEnsure that high quality is maintained for all projects through QA checksPrioritize assigned QC tasks to effectively deliver on timeResponsible for ensuring that target follows source, and no text is missing including all tracked changes in source documents are accurately implemented in target translations.Meticulous review and verification of documents, focusing on both linguistic and non-linguistic elements to maintain high-quality standards.Key Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Project Management in the Language Services industryBachelor''s degree, ideally in a linguistic, business or scientific fieldFluency in English is essential, an additional language would be advantageousExcellent written/verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail to ensure that high quality standards are maintainedAbility to meet strict deadlines and to manage competing priorities and changing demands.Excellent problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to follow instructions and work independently whilst using own initiative.Demonstration of advanced IT skillsExperience working with TMS and CAT tools, experience working with XTRF and/or memoQ would be highly advantageousAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and clientsExperience in multilingual quality control or a related field.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.Familiarity with different language scripts and alphabets, particularly Korean and Japanese, is a plus.If you meet the above qualifications and skill set and are interested in this position, apply today with a current resume.Should you be suitable you will receive an email from the Talent Acquisition team in ANZ to complete an online assessment to further assess your skills.Following the completion of the assessment, you will be contacted by the lead Recruiter to discuss.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
