Add expected salary to your profile for insights.We Help Ourselves (WHOS) is one of the leading NGO alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment providers in Australia. We offer a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic and support programs and services to benefit clients with problematic substance use and associated issues.We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated person to join our Sunshine Coast Queensland services.The successful applicant will have a thorough understanding of various health and community service practices and agencies. They should have the skills to build networks supporting the achievement of the goals for the position and WHOS services. Knowledge of services such as general health, mental health, justice, disability, homelessness, unemployment, and family support services that benefit people with problematic substance use and issues is essential.Position requirements:Tertiary qualifications in AOD work, social sciences, or related community service field.Demonstrated experience working in the NGO sector.Experience working collaboratively with health, allied health, and community service providers.Knowledge of local and intrastate AOD, mental health, and community service networks.Supportive of and familiar with Harm Reduction approaches within the AOD sector.High interpersonal skills, including networking, consulting, and negotiating with stakeholders.The role requires experience in:Presentation skills for in-service delivery to stakeholders at all levels.Working collaboratively as part of a management team.Strategic management skills to support the service manager with key stakeholders.Knowledge of community-based resources supporting WHOS clients.Developing and maintaining service relationships with health services (dental, optical, psychological, liver clinics), employment, housing, family law, and criminal justice services.Project planning and KPI reporting experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.Effective use of information, communication, and data collection tools, including computer literacy.Reflecting critically on professional practice, behaviors, and attitudes.Remuneration:SCHADSI Award.
