Y Schools Queensland - Senior Logan Campus is seeking a passionate Pathways Coordinator on a Permanent Full-Time basis, based in Kingston.About The RoleAs a Pathways Coordinator with Y Schools, you will support the Pathways Lead in facilitating vocational and education training for vulnerable young people. Your responsibilities include managing administrative requirements of Pathways programs, overseeing program delivery by external providers, facilitating classes, and working with students individually and in groups to encourage participation and progress.What will my time look like?Facilitating job pathway activities and programs for studentsSupporting the delivery of vocational and wellbeing programsBuilding impactful relationships with students to support their strengths, passions, interests, and wellbeing needsSupporting RTO trainers in delivering academic and wellbeing programsAssisting students in interpreting information related to career development and job opportunitiesEnsuring resource materials for career education are current and accurateAm I a good match?Holding a Certificate IV in Career Development or similar qualification, or significant demonstrated experience in Youth Work (with progress towards the certificate)Possessing a Positive Notice Blue Card or willing to obtain oneHaving a current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtainDemonstrated experience working with at-risk young peopleAbility to provide individualized support and action plans for young people to help them grow academically and vocationallyUp-to-date knowledge of the labour market, employability skills, and effective communication strategies with young peopleWhats in it for you?You will work closely with the Pathways Lead to deliver high-quality vocational education, supporting our commitment to providing excellent learning experiences.
