People and Culture Business Partner K''gari (Fraser Island) The Opportunity The People and Culture Team at Sealink - K''gari are seeking an experienced P&C Business Partner to join a dynamic team. The People and Culture Business Partner role is responsible for collaboratively partnering with key operational leadership stakeholders to effectively deliver P&C strategic and operational people initiatives across the full end-to-end employee lifecycle. The role will have full accountability of portfolios for full end-to-end P&C cyclical activities as well as champion culture, inclusion, diversity, engagement. The role will also provide guidance, advice, and support for best practices to contribute towards a successful business and culture. The People & Culture Officer will support SeaLink K''gari operations including Kingfisher Bay Resort, K''gari Beach Resort, K''gari Explorer Tours, marine operations, and support services, and will be part of a team that values integrity and teamwork. This is a permanent full-time salaried role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You must have the ability to travel to work from Hervey Bay to K''gari Island via Sealink Ferry every day, or via Plane to K''gari Beach Resort when needed. About You You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work autonomously and remotely on K''gari Island as well as in a team. You will be proactive, hands-on, trustworthy, energetic, and positive. An effective communicator (both verbally and in writing), with exceptional attention to detail to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and obligations at all times. You Will Also Have The Following Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or relevant experience. Minimum 3 years experience in a HR/P&C Business Partner role in a complex or multifunctional organization. Proven experience in End-to-End HR cyclical activities and proficiency with HR platforms and systems. Experience in managing recruitment from attraction to employment offer. Ability to create and facilitate bespoke workshops for leadership and employee development. Experience in process improvement, cost-effective initiatives, and practice enhancements. Passion for culture, inclusion, diversity, and engagement initiatives. Knowledge of employment legislation, ER, remuneration, benefits, and recognition programs. Experience in case management and investigations. Proven skills in performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and talent management. Ability to interpret industrial instruments and legislation to support leaders and employees. Coaching, mentoring, and advisory skills for walk-in queries. Experience working with payroll and employee entitlements. Proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to engage. People and culture experience in tourism, hospitality, hotels/resorts, logistics, or transport is highly regarded. Success in this role requires independence in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills, stakeholder relationship management, and leadership qualities to mentor and coach HR practices.
