Two Director Opportunities Driving Policy, Strategy & Reform in NSWAre you a strategic thinker ready to lead impactful policy initiatives that shape the future of NSW?Two permanent positions, located in Sydney CBD. Hybrid working model with flexibility to balance in-office collaboration and remote work.Total Remuneration Package starting at $232,000 per annum to commensurate with experienceAs a Director, you will lead policy development at a portfolio level, providing expert advice to ministers and senior executives. Youll oversee complex legislative and regulatory reforms, coordinate Cabinet submissions, and build strong relationships across the public and private sectors.Were recruiting for two distinct roles:Director, Portfolio Policy Digital, Data & CustomerIn this role, you will provide policy leadership for NSW in relation to digital reform, Artificial Intelligence (AI), governments approach to data, and customer-centered service delivery. This role will:Lead, in partnership with Digital.NSW, the development of the NSW Governments next AI Strategy.Review and recommend updates to legislative and regulatory settings, to make our laws fit for purpose in a modern, fast moving digital economyDevelop a framework for public sector AI adoption balancing innovation, productivity and risk.Contribute to whole-of-government leadership in data, digital policy and emerging technologies.Director, Portfolio Policy Regulatory ReformIn this role you will provide leadership on modern regulatory approaches to a diverse range of issues including consumer protection, the built environment, workplace health & safety and state insurance schemes. This role will focus on:Championing regulatory best practice and improving consistency in how regulators exercise powers.Supporting newly established regulators with policy advice and Cabinet submissions.Navigating complex, sensitive reforms in the insurance and building sectors.Alongside the above, ideally you will also:Have extensive experience leading the delivery of policy reforms, resolving policy conflicts, and executing complex strategies.Be able to demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.Have proven experience leading a team with innovation, adaptability, and fostering self-motivation and flexibility.Exhibit robust analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.Commit to the highest levels of ethical behavior and integrity.Be eager to make a difference to the communities of NSW.Interested?Please upload a single document containing both your resume/CV and a cover letter.
