Together we can do more.We have immediate opportunities for Assistants in Nursing to work in the Shoalhaven Acute Geriatric Unit:Shoalhaven Acute Geriatric Unit: Specialise in the care of elderly patients requiring extended recovery periods and management of chronic illnesses11-bed unit, 8-hour roster pattern with 8-hour nightshifts.To keep up with winter bed requirements, current beds increased to 18 across 2 units.Assistants in nursing work within a plan of care under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse and within the limits of the Assistant in Nursing position description.Assistants in Nursing retain responsibility for their own actions and remain accountable to the Registered Nurse for all allocated functions.Assistants in Nursing practice in accordance with NSW Health guidelines, the position description and local policy and protocol.For more information and to view the position classification, see the Position Description here.A Little About Us.Shoalhaven Hospital, located on Yuin Country, is the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services.
