If you have experience in this field, are keen to learn new skills and have a great attitude, please get in touch!!Role Overview:We are seeking a Painter & Finisher who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. The ideal candidate will be confident in painting and surface finishing and have a background or interest in set building, art, exhibition and/or furniture.. You will work closely with our fabrication team both in-studio and on-site, contributing to the delivery of high-end visual projects. This role is full or part-time depending on the preference of the successful applicant.Key Responsibilities:Apply a wide range of painting and finishing techniques (including brushing, rolling, spraying, and specialty finishes) to furniture, props, sets, and installations.Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, priming, and masking as required.Assist with set building and scenic construction using a variety of tools and materials.Work on-site during installations, including lifting, loading, and assembling components.Collaborate with designers, fabricators, and project leads to ensure visual quality and detail.Maintain a safe and tidy work environment both in the studio and on-site.Maintain a professional and friendly attitude and be keen to learn new techniques and skillsRequired Skills and Experience:MUST be currently located in Melbourne Australia.Proven experience as a painter/finisher in set design, scenic fabrication, events, film, or similar fields.Proficiency with airless and/or hvlp spray systems are a bonus.Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, carrying, and building on-site.Ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship.A team player with good communication and time management skills.A valid drivers, forklift licence or whitecard is a plus but we can assist the right applicant with these.Please email applications, cover letter, CV, folio, etc. to jobs@mothdesign.com.auSeniority levelSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesInterior DesignReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at MOTH DESIGN by 2xSign in to set job alerts for Furniture Painter roles.Were unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
