Join our highly skilled and diverse team of surgeons, anaesthetists and dedicated nurses in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where your role directly supports safe, high-quality patient care.This 12-month, hands-on training position combines in-house experience with external study, leading to a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technician specialisation). Youll assist in patient transfers, ensure safe positioning, maintain equipment, and help prepare the operating theatre for a wide range of procedures.Were seeking committed individuals ready to work a mix of day and evening shifts and embrace the vital role technicians play in the operating suite. Successful trainees may be offered permanent roles upon course completionmaking this more than just a job, but a true career pathway in healthcare.Our preferred candidate will have:Enthusiasm and flexibility in their working hours - there are a variety shifts depending on the theatre listsPrevious manual handling &/or patient transportation experience - highly desirableIs capable of working in a physically demanding environmentGood professional communication skillsPrevious experience within a hospital or health care settingThe ability to work in all areas of the operating room suite and in the specialties offeredThe knowledge of Infection Control Principles & Occupational Health & Safety requirementsThe ability to work effectively with a diverse team of peopleIMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
