If you take pride in getting the details right and want your work to truly matterthis is the role for you.What the role involves:This is more than a cleaning job. Youll be a valued part of our team, responsible for:Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms and shared areas to high hygiene standardsSupporting kitchen duties and safe food handling practicesEnsuring common spaces feel safe, welcoming, and well-cared forOrdering, storing and restocking cleaning and kitchen suppliesHelping maintain our outdoor communal spacesOccasionally supervising or supporting residents to build daily living skills like doing laundryWorking with the broader team to ensure a supportive, recovery-focused environmentYoull work in line with infection control, manual handling, and WHS standards to help us provide safe, high-quality mental health support services.This is a part-time role, working every Saturday and Sunday from 17:30 to 21:30 and every second Wednesday from 18:00 to 22:00.Skills and Experiences:About YouYoure someone who takes pride in your work and understands the importance of dignity, cleanliness, and respect in shared living spaces.To thrive in this role, youll bring:Previous experience in cleaning, kitchen hand, or laundry rolesKnowledge of hygiene, infection control and WHS practicesThe ability to work sensitively around people experiencing mental health challengesA team-first attitude with good communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and a proactive, respectful approachIts also great (but not essential) if you bring:Experience working in a residential or healthcare settingLived experience of mental health recovery (your own or as a carer/family member)You''ll need:National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)Working With Children CheckValid WA drivers licenceWhy join Richmind WA?Purpose-driven work - every clean room, every stocked cupboard supports someones recoveryInclusive culture - we value lived experience, different backgrounds and individual strengthsExtra leave - Birthday + wellbeing day each yearSalary packaging - up to $18,640 tax-free benefitsLearning opportunities - Core Training, LinkedIn Learning + morePurchase additional leave and access long service leave after 5 yearsSupportive team culture where your work is seen and appreciatedIt takes courage to support others from behind the scenesand we see you.About us:Richmind WA has been shaping the future of mental wellbeing in Western Australia for over 50 years.
