Thefocus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs, special requirements and preferences of our residents.RequirementsYou will hold relevant certifications and have a comprehensive understanding of Food Safety Laws and Occupational Health and Safety in a kitchen environment. You will have demonstrated experience in all facets of food preparation including managing a team, menu planning, preparation of daily meals ensuring they are fresh, well presented and appetizing. Furthermore, you will:Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) advantageousFood Safety Supervisor Training (Health & Community) - HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005 and HLTFSE007Experience working in a food services environment and in the supervision of staffInterpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees and volunteers; patience; common sense and an understanding of client serviceCommitment to work as part of a team and without supervisionAbility to be self-motivated and to promote a positive lifestyle environmentWell-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to operate with discretion and to maintain complete confidentialityWhile aged care or disability service experience would be great, whats more important is that you want to help to make a difference to our customers and prospective customers lives.About usHere at VMCH our services are as diverse as the people we support.
